Is it normal to have false memories in your dream?

I dreamed that there was a huge storm on it's way, and my dad was scared that the shed, which was run down with holes in the roof, would get flooded, because there were things stored in the shed that he didn't want to get wet (paintings, old furniture etc). In my dream, I could remember there always being a shed in the backyard. In my waking life, we have never had a shed in the backyard. So basically, I dreamed about something that wasn't real, but I had vivid memories of it.
