Which is better for dog grooming... Plastic snap on combs, or Stainless steel (metal) snap on combs?

I've been a groomer for 4 years now and I started off with plastic, but then got recommend metal combs.. but they break so easily. Any opinions would be nice. also any recommendations on good straight shears would be awesome
