I feel like I will never get my braces off!?

I just got my braces on earlier today, I have been waiting and I have been so excited to get them on. They did not hurt for the first few hours. Then I ate my first bite of food and my back bracket broke off. Then they said that I had a deep bite that would shear all of my braces off so they built this giant bite block on my teeth (So annoying). I have 6 spacers in my teeth and they are really uncomfortable. I have no idea how I am going to make it two years with no candy, no gum, and having to slice up all of my food. Today has draged on FOREVER!
